The FWO calculator looks up one rate. AwardGuard checks your whole team and tells you when it changes.

FWO Pay Calculator
Looks up a single rate. Free and excellent. Use it.
AwardGuard
Checks every role you pay against the current minimum, with the clause and the recent history, and alerts you when the Fair Work data changes for your award.

The risk is rarely the one rate you look up. It is the junior classification that moved up a level, or the casual whose new floor is higher than what your payroll template still says.

AwardGuard checks each classification you pay against the current minimum from the official Fair Work data, and tells you the moment those minimums change.

How it works

  1. 1

    Pick your award and classification.

Choose from the five launch awards, then your exact classification from the live Fair Work list, grouped by clause so adult and junior are clear.

  2. 2

Enter the hourly rate you pay.

One rate per role on Free (one role at a time). Sign in free, then run up to five checks per month.

  3. 3

See instantly if it clears the minimum.

Green if you are at or above, amber with the exact shortfall and clause if you are below, plus the last few years of the minimum.

What each check shows you

  • Your rate compared against the current award minimum, per role
  • The exact shortfall in dollars per hour when you are below
  • The award clause behind the minimum, so you can verify it
  • The last few years of the minimum, so you can see the trend
  • Up to three roles free, saved workplaces and alerts on Pro

Where does the data come from?
The Fair Work Commission's official Modern Award Pay Database, refreshed from source. Every result shows the effective date and published year of the figure it used.
Is this legal advice?
No. We identify pay rates to review. It is general information only, and the applicable modern award always prevails. For authoritative guidance contact the Fair Work Ombudsman or a qualified adviser.
Why not just use the free FWO calculator?
You should use it. It is free and excellent for looking up a single rate. AwardGuard checks every role you pay in one place, shows the shortfall and clause, and is built to alert you when the minimums change.
What is free and what is Pro?
Free accounts get 5 checks per month, one saved workplace and one saved role (sign-in required). Pro is $29/mo AUD for unlimited checks and roles, re-check all, 90-day history, CSV export, and change alerts (alerts are coming soon).
Which awards do you cover?
Five to start: General Retail, Hospitality, Fast Food, Cleaning Services, and SCHADS. We check adult base rates. Casual loading, penalties, and junior percentages are coming in v2.
Is my data safe?
We store your account email, each check you run (award, classification, rate, result), and saved workplaces and roles. We hash your network address to limit abuse. We do not sell your data.
